KartoScan FB V is constructed to address the most demanding requirements for large format document scanning. KartoScan can handle documents larger than A0. It can handle originals of different material like paper, mylar and even thick material like metal plates up to 2 cm thickness. The vacuum table option is made for carefully handling of fragile, old material. The material can be anything from transparent to none transparent. The glass table version is equipped with two light sources, reflected or transparent light. The latter can handle originals that otherwise is difficult to get acceptable results from.

The combination of high resolution and extreme positioning accuracy makes KartoScan unique on the market. The optical resolution can be up to 1200DPI with a pixel position accuracy of ±0.05 mm anywhere on the resulting image. This gives an accurate copy of the original that cannot be compared with any contiguous feed scanners in the marked.

KartoScan FBV comes with a set of raster handling software (Prime, GeoRef and Merge) This includes image processing, composing multiple scanned images into one image and transforming the scanned images into a common coordinate system. The KartoScan system can deliver top quality, processed raster images directly into the customer's target system.
